Guesthouse Červená Karkulka is located in Horní Smržovka beneath the Černá Studnice ridge, under the Špičák and Bukovec massifs. Smržovka lies 5 km from Jablonec nad Nisou with views of the Krkonoše ridge.
Approx. 500 m from the guesthouse is the 600 m long Filip ski lift with night skiing and artificial snow.
Smržovka has approx. 4,000 inhabitants and is a starting point for summer and winter tourism. For advanced skiers, Tanvaldský Špičák, Bedřichov, Paseky and Harrachov (approx. 20 km) are available.
